| Voice Male to perform at La nuit
des choeurs |
23 April 2006
|
|
|
It has become one of Wallonia's
main cultural events of the year,
and in Flanders the number of fans
is ever increasing, La nuit des
choeurs.
The ruins of the old abbey of Villers-la-Ville
provide a superb setting for this
wonderful festival, where numerous
vocal ensembles from around the
world will line up. At this year's
edition Voice Male will be one of
them. For three nights in a row
they will perform on one of the
main stages. It is virtually the
first time that VM hits Wallonia.
This unique festival is a fantastic
opportunity for the guys to cross
the language border and explore
the French speaking market.
You have to go and check out the
festival's website, and be amazed
by the lovely pictures of the abbey.
One of the main acts this year will
be the children's choir of St-Marc,
which starred in the French box
office hit Les Choristes.
The festival will take place on
August 24th, 25th and 26th. Tickets

| New duet with Sertab Erener |
15 April 2005
|
|
Voice Male has teamed
up with Eurovision Winner Sertab
Erener one more time, to record
a track for her new album, soon to
be released across Europe. The track
will be called Beni bagisla, which
means forgive me.
This is not the first time that Voice
Male and the number 1 top diva get
together to make music. Back in the
year 2000 Zor kadin was released,
a single which made it onto the Turkish
charts instantly and stayed there
for several weeks. The VM album Approved
featured Mecbursun, a remake of an
old Erener classic, where the boys
made an attempt to sing in Turkish
themselves. That album however, was
never released in Turkey. "This
new co-operation was a funny coincidence,"
says Jan Vannot. "We attended
a concert of Turkish top class pianist
Fazil Say in Brussels late
last year, where Sertab was doing
a couple of songs with him. After
the show we went to say hello. One
thing led to another, and none of
us needed convincing to get together
quickly. We are very excited about
the whole thing."
It has not been decided yet whether
or not this track will be released
as a single. Check out our website
for regular updates on this project.

Sertab Erener
is most know across Europe for her
winning entry in the Eurovision
Song Contest 2003. "Every way
that I can" became a massive
hit all over the continent, and
marked the launch of Sertab's international
career.

| New single and new album for Voice
Male |
15 April 2005
|
|
|
As the current tour is taking a
summer break, the boys have started
recording new material. As a result,
a new single is soon to be released.
The track will be called Inside
of me and was written by VM member
Tijl Corremans.
The song has featured in the boys'
current theatre show, and has always
been well received by the public.
A release date has not yet been
set, but it should be no later than
mid may 2005.
Soon to follow after the single
is VM's new album. It will feature
a number of songs from the show
they are currently touring with.
It goes without saying that the
summer will be very busy, as the
boys would like to have it ready
by the end of the year. Check out
our website for regular updates.

| Voice Male soon to take off on concert
trip to South-Africa |
17 April 2005
|
|
|
At the end of June, Voice Male
keeps their toothbrushes and pitchforks
ready for packing, as they will
embark on a new journey which will
bring them to Nelspruit, South-Africa.
On July 1-3 they will perform at
the Laeveld Nasionale Kunstefees,
or Innibos. The festival is held
for the first time this year and
will be set in a unique natural
environment. Check out this website
www.innibos.co.za
for more information..
At the SA concerts, Voice Male
will perform a couple of duets with
local celebrity Amanda Strydom.
Judging by these pictures, the boys
cannot decide whether to be curious
or terrified. She has her own website
www.amandastrydom.com.
|
|
This is not
the first time for Voice Male to
perform in South Africa. In 2003
the group travelled to Oudtshoorn,
where they gigged at the Klein Karoo
Kunsfees.

| It's time to get HIGH! Voice Male
releases its brand new single! |
|
|
Just when you thought they were dead
and buried, Voice Male is back to slap
you in the face with this funky upbeat
new release. High was written and arranged
by the members of the band themselves
and carefully produced by American all-around
producer Tom Salisbury who had worked
with the guys before on the Approved album.
|
The single is also an appetizer
for the new theatre show Voice Male
is currently working on.
Check it out and listen to a sample.
The single itself will not be available
from shops (for the time being).
It can be purchased at gigs around
Belgium and The Netherlands, and
can also be ordered: more info can
be found in the section Discography.
Enjoy!
